In Canada, more than half of all small businesses are never sold. Rather, the owner/proprietor simply closes his/her doors and walks away for any number of reasons. Even if you do not plan to sell your business for a number of years, now is the time to start to prepare. You never know when life is going to throw you a “curve ball” or an opportunity arises so being prepared in advance can help mitigate the stress and maximize the results.
This workshop will provide practical ideas and suggestions on how to prepare yourself and your business to sell in order to maximize your eventual proceeds. Facilitated by Lloyd Vinish, a successful business executive with 30 years experience in various industries, including mining, fertilizers, and health care. Lloyd recently moved to the Okanagan Valley and brings lots of experience in buying and selling small businesses. He has successfully delivered this workshop a number of times and is known for his practical and useful advice.
Una Gabie, a Lawyer with Pushor Mitchell LLP and Derek Sanders, a Chartered Business Valuator of Spence Valuation Group Inc. and TailWind Corporate Finance Group Inc. will be on hand during the session to provide further information and knowledge on the topic. Be Prepared to Sell Your Business session is brought to you by Community Futures of Central Okanagan.
Admission is $75+HST. Seating is limited. Registration and prepayment is required. Please phone 250-868-2132.
